What is Ultrasound Cavitation?

Update Time:2019/10/17
Ultrasound Cavitation is a relatively new procedure which harmlessly harnesses the power of ultrasound used at specific frequencies (that differ from diagnostic or imaging ultrasound used during pregnancy) to disrupt the cellular wall or membranes of adipocytes (fat cells). The ultrasound waves cause a strong oscillation within the tissues which in turn produces cavitation at the cellular level which weakens and then ruptures the fat cell’s walls causing the fat contained to leak from within.
